Dive into the Heart of Devil's Den

Coming here was such an awesome experience. I came at the 9:30am-11am time slot. Even though there were still a good amount of people, it definitely was less than the next time slot, the crowd got so big so fast. The water was so clear and beautiful. The light through the opening hit the water in one spot and just made for a real neat ambiance. The water was obviously cold, but I splashed a little bit onto myself before getting all the way in and that definitely helped. I think it was interesting how no floatation devices were allowed which surprised me since it could be dangerous for one to enjoy the water but potentially not be safe. But the equipment you’re able to rent/bring is helpful with the experience. I would definitely drive two hours again to see this beautiful place again.

For those who are foolish, like myself, don’t go in February. If you are, get the wet suits! You’ll wish you did once you’re in that icey water. I stayed for a few hours just snorkeling. However there’s several caves for diving if you have the skill etc. They drive had a little dirt road but it was well maintained and most of the way is paved. Parking was easy but limited, it’s also in the middle of a campground. The whole place is cool to wander and explore! Take your time and stay a while! Plenty of picnic areas. There’s also sweet, cute cats wandering the grounds!!

Only living about an hour and a half from here and always heard about it. Going here is something special that you can't really put to words other than mind blowing. Staff was great price was reasonable. The only thing I have to say along with others before me is oh my God! The water is cold as all get out. Mind you I'm FL born and raised have been to many springs and not long ago being a dumb kid jumping into cold pools in the middle of winter feels like a warm bath compared. There is that small bit of sunlight coming in unlike other springs that have the same temp of 70°-72° year round and are full sun and you can acclimate a little better. So be prepared and if you have a wet suit bring it! Makes all the difference. Silly me didn't and I could not get back in after the second time I took a break. By no means is this a complaint lol! It's just a case by case heads up on how your body differs from others. Much love and have fun!

Decided to drive up from orlando for a nice swim at Devils Den Spring and wasn’t disappointed. Make a reservation before you arrive to get your 90 minute window and sign any waivers. Found the weekdays are very convenient as there were very few snorkelers during the day. We saw several turtles and lots of 🐟 . Very cool environment for a swim / snorkel

We had a great time at Devil’s Den Prehistoric Spring. It was very busy on a holiday weekend but we still enjoyed the cool spring water on a hot summer day. Got to see a turtle, some bluegill, and some carp in the clear spring water. The light playing through the ceiling opening was dazzling. This is also a good place for beginner scuba divers as there’s no current and the platform makes for easy entry and exit on stairs. Bring a flashlight since the light is limited in the cave.
